For a maths task this week we had to do some more times tables this time I got a new high score.

 This week for a maths task we had to go on a times tables game and see how many we could get in 100 seconds, this was kind of hard for me because it was uncomfortable for me to press the numbers and enter fast enough.

This was my score it looks low but it was uncomfortable for me.

Something I enjoyed this week is sowing my hand and learning how to do it.

One success I had this week was completing my statistics math test because it had some questions we hadn't learnt about yet.

Something I found challenging this week was helping Radion and Blake with their quilt while trying to do mine.

Something I have learnt this week is what different ways there are to sow a quilt like the blanket stitch and the sleeper stitch.

Something I am look forward to next week is athletics and play warzone on my ps4 in the weekends.

Something I enjoyed this week was doing our letter to the Tai Tokerau Land Court. This is a link to the blog post.

One success I had this week was finishing task 34 which was a maths task we had to do which was pretty hard

Something that was challenging this week was completing my feelings wheel because it was hard to think of what to draw in each emotion.

One thing I have learnt this week was how to make a box and whiskers graph which was fun and easy even though it was a level 5 maths task.

Something that I am looking forward to next week is going down to do mathletics and year 8 orientation.

One way I have shown aroha is helping and taking care of people when they need and want it.

Dear Tai Tokerau Land Court

 One of our literacy tasks this week we had to write a letter to the Tai Tokerau Land Court because we readed a book about a old man getting kicked off his island and his nephew had to write letters and go to court for him. When we were writing the letter we had to make it like we were the nephew.

Dear Tai Tokerau Land Court,

I am the nephew of Paratene Te Manu and I am writing on the behalf of him. I have heard that you want my Uncle to move off Hauturu. I am here to tell you why he should stay. He has lived there all his life and hasn't lived anywhere else. It would take him a long time to adjust to a different lifestyle. He will be a lot more disorientated because of his old age. He also has never worked to earn money. He is very old so he will have no experience and will not be able to support himself. As you know, he is an old man. At Hauturu he is as safe as he can be from viruses and illness. But if you take him away from Hauturu, he is way more exposed to illness and viruses. Also, because of his old age, he is way more forgetful but because he has lived on Hauturu for all of his life he knows Hauturu like the back of his hand. If you take him to a new environment, he wouldn’t know or remember where anything is and he will be very conversed and possibly paranoid most of the time which would not be a good thing at his age. I hope this letter will change your mind and that my Uncle Paratene Te Manu deserves to stay at Hauturu and live free.

Weekly Reflection

 This is my weekly reflection

Something that I have enjoyed this week was the Te Reo task we had to do this week. We looked at a slide that told you what and where all the parts of a marae are, we then got a sheet that had blank spaces where the parts were. We then had to full out the spaces with the maori names.

One success I had this week was finally finishing my holiday recount. Because it took a while to find what to write about.

Something I found challenging this week was our maths knowledge check because it had some questions that we haven't looked at yet.

One thing I have learned this week was what types of art are eg: Dance, Painting, Music and Drama/films.

Something I am looking forward to next week is relaxing on the weekends and playing on my ps4

The Biggest Surprise of my Life!

 This week for one of our writing tasks we had to do a recount on our holidays. We had to make sure it was a year 7 and 8 level of writing so tell me what you think

The Biggest Surprise of my Life!

Saturday, the first day of holidays, the time to sleep in and go on my ps4 all day but this time this didn't happen to me. I was sleeping and relaxing until I heard my mum come into my room and tell me to get up. It was 5:00am, I then noticed that my mum would never wake up at this time but I got up anyway. My mum then told me if I wanted to go on the ps4 anytime on Saturday it had to be then. This is where I got really confused until I remembered that we were driving down to my dad’s house. That was the time that I started to realise that this was not going to be a good holiday. The rest of the day was very boring. Honestly, the whole time down there was very boring, but there was one bit of being down there which was fun and that was finally meeting my nephew!

My nephew was eight weeks old when I saw him. His name is Bailey and he is really cute, I got to hold him for a bit until he started to cry for his mum. My sister then had to calm him down and feed him. 

This is my favorite part of my life currently. THey came over to watch a movie with us but we didn't think He would watch Mission Impossible with us as well. What was funny was, while my sister was holding him he looked really interested in the movie, as if he was watching himself in the movie. He also started to cry as the main character was on the edge of death which was kind of weird.

All the rest of the time down there was very boring, When we drove back up to my house I had Blake over for the night. Blake and I played lots of video games and went to the lake with my brother and my cousin, after the lake we had some ice cream which was really yum. In the morning we played some more video games and played on my tramp.

Once Blake had gone I had to go to my grandads house for the rest of the week till friday because my mum had to work. All Liam and I did at my grandad's house was watch youtube because my grandad doesn't really have anything to do at his house.

On friday I got to go to Alex’s house for a sleepover. When we got to his house we played some Rainbow Six Siege and Among Us. At night we played heaps of Among Us and watched a movie till 1:00AM, We then slept for five hours then played some more Rainbow Six Siege.

Blog Post Analysis

 This week for one of our maths tasks we had to make a blog post analysis, This meant we had to look at how many posts we had done over the years we posted and how many posts I did in every month. We then had to highlight it all and make a column chart, then we had to customize the chart. After we did this we had to put it into a google drawing and then we had to find out what was the average for each month. Once we had done that we had to name three things that we saw in the chart, we then wrote our analysis for it.

 This week for our 2nd RE task we had to make a frayer model on Venerable. I did my one on a google drawings. We had to do what is the definition of Venerable, an image of Venerable, an example of Venerable and a non-example of Venerable.

Social Justice Week

 This week for our RE task we had to do a social justice slides and complete 3 the tasks on it. I did the scriptures, definition and the timeline. With scriptures you had to choose 2 and summarise them. With the definition task we had o do a frayer model on social justice and with the timeline we had to make a timeline show all the major events in our life.

The Real Friends

 This week for one of our Literacy tasks we had to complete a slide about Poetry. We first had look a 4 videos and choose one. I chose one called friends. On the slides we had to complete all the tasks on it. On one slide we had to see if it had Stanza, Rhymes, Rhythm, Tone, Imagery and Figurative Language. Stanza is a group of lines or a paragraph, Rhymes are how to words sound the same, Rhythm is the rhythm of the poem, Tone is the tone of the poem, Imagery is the message in the poem and Figurative Language is Language Features

End of week Reflection

 Something I enjoyed this week was seeing Ruba again and how much she has grown since the last tim and how much fun she is.

One success I had this week was completing my around the world slides because it was hard to find things to do, eat, stay and flights with only $12,000, Here is the link to the post

One challenge I have had this week was doing me learning because we had a lot of substitute teachers and we had filming to do as well.

One thing I have learned this week is that $12,000 is not a lot of money when you are traveling the world and visiting places.

Something I am looking forward to next week is relaxing and not having to do anything.

The holiday of a lifetime!

 This week for one of our tasks we had to finish all the slides. We had to go somewhere out of the country fro 5-12 days with 2 people and a budget of $12,000. I went to Fiji, then Samoa and Vanuatu.

Weekly Reflection

 Something that I enjoyed this week was Daffodil day because it was a mufti day and it was supporting the cancer foundation.

One success I had this week was learning how do simplify algebra questions because this is a look at end of year 9 level maths and it was cool to learn something new.

Something that I found challenging this week was our maths test we had to do because it was a maths test and also I choose to do the hard test.

One thing I have learned this week is how to factorise expressions it was cool to learn how to do it. This is how to do it, 7A + 49 = 7(N + 7). Now here is one to try figure out, 8Y + 96 =?. Tell me your answer in the comments.

Something I am looking forward to next week is the next weekend because it's fun to sleep in and relax.

Something I have enjoyed this week our personification task because it was really cool to learn it and to writing things with it. Like these blogs posts Task 1, Task 2

One success I had this week was making it into the top 3 in speeches and placed 2nd place because I don't like speeches and coming 2nd is really cool.

Something that was challenging for me this week was also speeches because as I said I don't like doing speeches and I don't think am good a speeches.

One thing I have learnt this week was what personification is. It is when you give human like qualities to non-human like animals.

Something I am looking forward to is Daffodil Day because I would like to support cancer because my grandma sadly passed away from it last year.

One way I have shown Pono this week was making sure I tell the truth all week and think WWJD before I do or say anything.

D-Day but diffirent?

 This week for one of our personification task we had to do another piece of writing. But this time we had to do about something else on D-Day.

"Sind wir bereit?" "Jawohl!" ("Are we ready?" "Yes Sir!"). I can't understand what they are saying so I just ignore it. It is pitch black and all I can see is the stars in the night sky. I can hear the ocean waves crashing on the beach as they break. I can smell a sweaty smell. I wonder if it is from a human and if it is, why are they here? I get a thought, a thought that something very, very bad is about to happen or that was at least what I thought was going to happen but you never know it could change in a second.

I look at the horizon. I am blinded as the glistening sun rises and hits my eyes. I look away until my eyes get used to the new light. I look back to the horizon but this time there is a tiny black dot. As it gets closer more show up. After a little bit longer there are hundreds of them out in the water. After a while I start to realise what was going to happen. They were going to have a surprise party for the people coming back from wherever they were. As they drew closer I could hear the waves crashing against the armoured ships.

As they come closer to the shore I hear screaming for both sides. “Charge!!!” “Aufladen!!!” ( Charge!!!). I now know that this was not a party, it was something that was happening all over and it somehow managed to make it to me. It was WAR. I look at the boats that were nearly at the shore. “BOOOOOOOM” The first ship lands but somehow lands on a landmine and explodes. All the body parts fly in the air. Blood flies everywhere and lands on me. An arm bounces over me and rolls away. More and more boats get to shore and people start jumping out of them. I see soldiers falling to the ground as I hear the machine gunners start holding down the trigger. I look to a soldier who has made it the furthest but then sadly steps on a landmine. As he did I hear his last scream.

I was getting kicked around and I had managed to get kicked to the front line. I look around and see soldiers being shot and killing the other team. I see a soldier that was doing well. “CRACK” The soldier has been shot. It pierces his skull and goes through his brain and out the other side of his skull, he then falls to the ground beside me. I start to think ‘I have seen everything’ until I see a soldier helping his fallen comrade. He drags him beside me until he gets shot. He falls on the other side of me. They both die and I burst out into tears. I start wondering why they are doing this to each other. One of the dead guys' blood pours out and gets to me. I am now in a pool of blood.

I look back to the horizon and see that the sun is setting. It was already night and I am in shock. I then hear cheers and cries of soldiers. It had seemed that one of the teams had won. I notice that the team that came on the boats has managed to win. I want to go up and congratulate them but I have no way to get to them so I was just glad that it was over. It was a lot for a little pebble to experience in one day.

Personification Fun!

 This week for one of our literacy tasks we had to find out what personification was and write a paragraph on a table with personification in it.

I was having fun enjoying the peace and quiet. I started to feel all the marks and scrapes on me as hear all the kids outside screaming. I was becoming worried as I heard the keys enter the hole. I wanted to sprint as fast as a tiger when I heard thedoor creak open. All the kids started to pour in as I started to scream. As I felt the books, devices and arms pile onto me I felt as if I had 100 tons on me and a whole ocean was pouring out of my eyes. I then tried my hardest to move my legs but after awhile I can to the realisation that I will never be able to run away for this miserable life of mine I then accepted that this is my life and will always be my life no matter what. It was nearing the end of the day as I had to make the decision to wait till the next day to have this repeat all over again and have more scrapes and marks show up on me.

End Of Week Reflection

Something that I have enjoyed this week was cross country because it was fun to get out again and have a run.

One success I had this week was finishing me speech because it was hard but I was able to finish it.

Something I found challenging this week was also cross country because it was a long run and I lost lots of fitness during lockdown so that made it a whole lot harder.

Something that I have learnt this is week is to always keep up your fitness even during lockdown by running up and down your street or something like that.

Something I am looking forward to next week is my birthday because everyone loves when its their birthday and this year I will be 13 which will be the start of my teenage years.

I have shown Pono this week by thinking about WWJD especially during cross country because we need to help the little kids and need to know what we need to do with the little kids.

In the end I have had a great week and I hope next week will be better.

End of week reflection

This week was one of my favorite weeks this term. We had Rippa, my speech writing and writing some more of my creative writing.

The thing that I enjoyed the most was doing Rippa because when we played the game I scored lots of  tries.

Holiday Reflection

The Wedding!

It’s the 11th of July 2020 and I am in the middle of war. This one kill will end it all. I have the target in sight. Lining up the shot! “BOOM” “Ahhh” yells Liam. Yes we got him. “Hahaha” we both start laughing. We had both just woken up and decided to have a little war. It's the day of my Nana’s wedding and we have to find a way to entertain ourselves. It is our mission to do this. “It will be hard but we can do this”

Hide’n’seek

We decided to sneak outside and play some hide'n'seek. We were staying at our Nana’s house and we had lots of places to hide in. I was first to hide. I somehow found to get on the roof and it was early in the morning so it was pretty much spot light because Liam wanted a torch and why would you look on the roof so I had an easy win. I gave Liam 20 minutes and he still didn’t find me. It was funny watching him walk everywhere and seeing his face when I jumped off the roof right in front of him.

Operation Take and eat!

Next we went back inside and saw there were some Werther's Originals on a seat so me and Liam made a secret operation to sneak all the way to them, get one each and make it out without being seen. One of our uncles was up so we made him the security without him knowing. “It’s time to move in and retrieve the target” “I will move first” wisphered Liam “MOVE MOVE” We slowly move in. We had to start doing a Commando crawl (which is crawling with your arms on your tummy if you didn't know). “We made it” Whispered Liam

The Escape

“Time to try and make it out” “Hey what are you doing up this early?” Yelled my uncle. “RUN RUN” I yelled so we ran outside to my Nana’s deep ditch. “We made it out” I say. We start eating the yummy and delicious targets. “Mumhummh” Liam mumbles while eating his target. He then spits it out on his hand. “Why did you do that?” I ask “BEHIND YOU!!” “Huh?” I then turn around and see some dirty shoes. I then slowly looked up to see my uncle’s face looking right back at me. “Umm hi?”

The End!

That was the end of that we then had some breakfast and noticed we had completed our mission. It was time for the wedding. We got dressed and then got into a car. We had made it to the wedding. What happened was they said things kissed and we all got photos taken. We then went back to my Nana's house and had something to eat. We talked for a little bit before going to dinner. We had to get all dressed up again and went to the place for dinner. I sat by my cousin and my new cousin and had some dinner. We talked for a little while till my 2nd cousin came and took my other cousin’s seat. She wasn’t very happy about that but she got over it. My 2nd cousin is called Luke and he is pretty much my brother even though he is 40 something. We talked all night until I had to go. In the end it was nice to catch up with everyone and meet new people.

Cybersmart

Something I enjoy about cyber smart is that I learn lots more things about my chromebook and what my chromebook can do. It is a really good life lesson because when I am older and need to do something on a device I know what to do and what ways I can do it. It also means I can help people with their devices and teach them how to use their device well.

Something new I want to learn is how to edit photos and movies because I like to make movies and photos and make them look and sound really good. It would also be a good life lesson because I could need to help with someone editing something and I would already know what to do. I could also teach them what are easy but good way to edit things and he could then help other people.

End of Term Reflection

This is my end of term reflection we had to do. We had to also answer some questions in the reflection I hope you like it.

My highlight of this term was having our matariki breakfast and share our goals for next term. It was a highlight for me because we had a free breakfast and sharing my goals.

My biggest challenge for this term was lockdown and trying to do all my work without help because my mum was helping my brother. It was a challenge because we had to do lots of online work and having to do all of it at home.

But my biggest success was also lockdown because I think I accomplished lots of work and accomplished all of it to the best of my ability.

Something I have learned this term was how to write very descriptive instructions for a class task during lockdown. It was something I learnt because I could always write instructions but not descriptive enough for a blind person to complete them. This is my blog post about it.

Something I am looking forward to these holidays is coming home to my mum after going down to my dads and playing on my ps4. Why I am looking forward to this is because we are going for two weeks without seeing her.

Matariki Goals

For our Matariki goals we had make a copy of a slide and complete all the slides on it. There was a Literacy goal, a maths goal, a social goal, a RE goal and a extra curric goal. Once we finished we had to share them at our matariki breakfast.

Night Terrors Backstory.

A long time ago there was a little boy name Muhammad. He grew up in a poor town on and island in the middle of nowhere. It was him and his mum since his dad went to find if there was another place out there somewhere but never returned. One day Muhammad was wondering around the island and found a cave. He stared at it for a while until he decided to go in. He walked in and found a match and a long stick. He lit the stick on fire and went deeper and deeper into the cave. He was walking for 15 minutes till he bump into something big and slimy. He put the stick close to it and saw a snake body! He walked beside it for a little bit then accidentally tripped on a rock and burned the snake. It woke up and saw Muhammad. Muhammad then noticed it was Night Terror the legend his mum always told him. But now it was real and was about to kill him. It was late and his mum was looking for him and all she heard was the scream of Muhammad. Night Terror had found out what he wanted to do in his life. He would teach every kid that angered him a lesson.

Sentence fun

This week for my second and third Pobble tasks were Sick Sentence and Sentence Challenge. Sick sentence is when they give you a sentence and you have to make it better. Sentence Challenge is when you have to find the articles in the sentences. An article is are words that define a noun as specific or unspecific. EG: After the long day, the cup of tea tasted particularly good. The article is the because it is defining the noun as one specific day and cup of tea. Now this is my doc

Egg parachute

This week for our steam challenge was that we had to make an egg parachute and make sure when it landed that it didn't crack. We were in teams of 2s. My team was me and Radion. Our egg sadly died. End of week reflection

Our first week back has been an eye opener again because we haven't been at school for awhile and we had forgotten a few things. It was funny when we forgot the school prayer and we started saying the lunch prayer. It has been fun to catch up with all me friends and seeing them again. My favourite thing this week was doing our speech drafts. I hope everyone else has had a great week and has a great term.

This week we had to make a pepeha on an app called Gamefroot. We had to use something on it called mihi maker. Then we had to put in what should be in our pepeha.

Pixelated Superhero

This week for on of our maths task we had to make a pixelated superhero. We had to choose a superhero and make them pixelated using google sheets. My superhero was Black Panther. It was a little bit hard trying to get his claws and other things there but I tried my best. This is how it turned out I hope you like it.

Magic Milk

Today we had to do a science science experiment. We did this because we were learning about density. Density is mass per unit volume in an object. To do the experiment we need to get a bowl, milk, food colouring, a cotton bud and dish washing liquid. First we had to but 1/4 inch of milk into the bowl. Next we had to put a few drops of food colouring in the bowl and then put dish washing liquid on one side of the cotton bud. After that we had to dip the side of the cotton bud with the dish washing liquid and see what happens. These are some photos I took. Maybe you can try and see what happens yourself?

I'm in Minecraft

This week for one of our maths task we had to make a minecraft versions of ourselves. It was lots of fun seeing what I would look like if I had a minecraft avatar. This is what I look like in minecraft I hope you like it.

Lines of symmetry

Today for our maths task we had to make a copy of a slide and do all the slides. The slides had photos on them and we had to put lines of symmetry in them. This is how mine turned out I hope you like it.

Mirroring weird shapes

This week we had to make a copy of a google sheet and mirror all the shapes on the form. There were 9 shapes to mirror. This is how my shapes turned out. I hope you like them.

Treasure map

This week for our maths create task was that we had to make a treasure map using a compass we ha to make directions around your house. I decided to make a copy of my house floor plan and make a treasure map out of it. This is how my one turned out I hope you like it.

Coordinates

One of our maths tasks this week was to make a copy of a slide and complete all the slides. The slides were based on coordinates. The first 3 slides was a challenge with three types of difficult which were Easy Medium and Hard. I did all of them. The next slide was a challenge we all had to do and then the next slide was a dot to dot type thing. You had to copy the google drawings link then you needed to find all the coordinates in order and make a shape. After we had made the shape we had to take a screenshot of the shape. The last slide was a game. We had to play a game for 10 minutes then we had to take a screenshot of our score. This is my slide.

Advertising

One of our literacy tasks were that we had to copy a slide the complete all the slides. The slide was based on advertising. You had to watch all the videos then you had to say who they were trying to target and what did the do to persuade their viewers. Here is how my slide turned out.

Compass directions

This week for one of our maths tasks we had to make a copy of a slide about compasses and we had to complete all the slides.

Master Chef

For one of our tasks on our challenge week was that we had to make a meal either for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I choose breakfast for my meal. I did pancakes for my brother and my mum.

My brother said 5/5 and my mum said 5/5. They also said it was lovely and was beautifully 

presentated.

Scavenger hunt

One of the Tekahu challenges was to find one thing that starts with a letter of the alphabet in my house. Then we had to make a DLO showing all 26 things you found. I made a slide for my DLO. This is how my slide turned out.

Translate it!

This week we had to copy a doc that had 4 different languages on it. It also had at the start sentences we had to translate. The languages were Maori, Mandarin, French and Spanish.

Maori Words

Today we had to make a DLO of 5 english words in maori. I did my DLO on a slide and my 5 words were wine, ball, book, cat and seat. This is what my slide looks like. I hope you like it. 

Create task

This week we were learning about 2D and 3D shapes. For our create task we had to make a 3D shape net and then make it into a the shape. I choose a cube.

It took my around 15 minutes but it was still hard to put the sellotape everywhere and making sure it didn't fall apart. It was hard work for a little cube but it was still fun.

This week we had to read an article called the Maori Battalion. Then we had to make a DLO telling what we had learnt and a summary.

This week we had to copy a slide of 2D and 3D shapes. The slide was all about how many faces, lines of symmetry, vertices and edges. This is how my slide turned out.

After we had done this we had to mark it. I got all of them correct.

Household shapes

This week we had to create a slide and find 10 shapes in our house. It took my around 30 minutes to do and it was tiring. My 10 objects were a cube, rectangle, cylinder, rectangular prism, square, sphere, circle, octagon, triangle and a oval.

My Daddy's A Soldier

This week we had to read a poem called My Daddy's A Soldier. It was about a little girl who's dad had gone to war. After we read it we had to make a character web. We had to do it about how the little girl was feeling.

My ANZAC Poppy

This week we had to make a poppy for ANZAC day. This is how I made mine.

I cut the bottom of plastic bottle. This created the poppy shape. After that I pick some red petals of a rose to make the colour and look of a poppy's petals. Then I cut a green stem to make the poppy's stem. After that I found a black seed for the center of the poppy. Once I had got all of that I sellotape the petals onto the plastic poppy shape. Then I stuck the black seed into the center of the poppy and then put it on the stem. Once I did that I put it all on paper and took a photo of it. Here is my poppy.

Instructional Writing

Last week we had to make a piece of instructional writing and video. We had to put it in lots of detail so people could understand what and how to do it. Here is mine writing and video.

DLO of my house floor plan.

This week we had to make a DLO (digital learning object) of my house. I did a google drawing of a floor plan. We also had to put in the perimeter and area. It took me two days to do.

Chapter 1 Taken

It was a nice sunny day when me and my family were coming back from a hunting trip when a carige came up beside us. Two large men hopped off, they came up to me and threw me in. All I could hear was my family screaming my name and running around. I started screaming and crying. 

 Chapter 2 The Journey

Then they hopped back on and went speeding away with me in the back. I felt so angry that I could kick down the already rotting door but I was so devastated that I couldn't move. So I just layed on the wooden floor and stared through a gap in the roof, right up to the bright blue sky. It was so bumpy that it felt like we were driving on rocks. We were also picking up other kids. It was sad to hear their family screaming and crying.

Chapter 3 Moore River

After five dreadful days we had made it to our destination. I walked out of the back of the carige. It took awhile for my eyes to adjust but then I saw an old western looking town. Then an old looking woman greeted us with a smile and told us we were at some place called Moore River!

Chapter 4 The town

She later said her name was Lady Rose. She said she was the head nun there. She showed us around. I started to wonder about what my parents would be doing. I thought they would be crying at home. She showed us to all the other nuns. 

Chapter 5 Night 1

Then she showed us something we had never heard of. She said it was a church and we have to go to it every day. It was big and white, there were loads of sets in it and it had a tall point on the top of the roof with a cross on the top. Then she showed us the nun that was going to put us to bed. The nun that was putting us to bed was nice and she made sure we were all ok.

Chapter 6 Friends

After a few days I had made 3 friends. Their names were Blake, Max and Alex. Blake had been there the longest. He had been there for 2 years. He had tried to escape once but it failed. He had all his hair chopped off and he got whipped. Max was one of the kids we had picked up on the way there. Alex was a bit weird but he was fun. He always was being funny when Lady Rose was around. Once he was caught and then he got whipped. He came back with red whipped marks on his back.

Chapter 7 The escape plan

At night me and my friends would meet in my bed. We had a piece of paper and a pen. We would plan our escape. At day we would go around the edge of the town. There was a fence surrounding the edge of the whole town. After one week we found a hole in the fence. All night for 3 days we planned our escape. After church, while the guards are still praying we will sneak out and run to the hole.

Chapter 8 The escape

After three days it was the day of the escape. “Ding Dong” That was signal for 5 minutes of praying time. We looked around. All the guards were praying. This was are time to run so we ran right to the hole in the rabbit proof fence. We jumped straight through it and keeped running.

Chapter 9 The journey back

We keep running even though I could hear bullets flying past me. It was the scariest thing I had ever done. We keeped running for 1 hour straight. We had finally escaped them through the trees. Once we escaped we had a look at the trees. 

Chapter 10 The tree

I found one that was as tall as a mountain and it was really moldy. Then I remembered something that my dad told me. That mold always grows on the north side and we went south of my house so if we keep going north we should reach my town. After a few days we reached Max and Blake’s town. After another few days we made it to mine and Alex's town.

Chapter 11 Home at last

I ran up to my home and knocked on the door but then two young people came to the door. I then ask what happened to the old owners. They said they had sadly died but they didn't know how but they said it was because of their kid you got stolen. Right there I just sat down and cried. Then they noticed I was the old owner's kid. Then said that they were looking to adopt because they couldn't have kids of their own. So I said I had no parents so then the invidied me in and I live the rest of my days in their care.
