Today I became a Google Docs Ninja. It took awhile but I made it! It was really fun to do. I hope next year they make another one and we get to do it. This was inspired by our buddy class. The Google Docs Ninja challenge was a full of things you can use on Google Docs.

Athletics!

Last was Athletics for Pompallier school.There was Sprints,High Jump,Long Jump,Shot Put,Discus,200 Meter Sprints and Relays.In Sprints I came 4.In High Jump I came 4.In Long Jump I came 5.In Shot Put I came last.In Discus I came last.In 200 Meters Sprints I came 5.I didnt do Relay because I wasnt in the team.It was really fun to run around and having fun with my bestfriend leezion.This year was the best Athletics in my life.I hope next year will be the same.

Animations!

Last week we made either Poster,Docs,Slides,Google Draw or Animation about Know Before You Go.I wanted to do an Animation.Here it is.Hope you like it.

The Amazing Holidays

In the holidays Me,Liam,Mum and my grandparents went down to rotarua for 6 days.On Monday we went to the luge.Me and my grandad had a challenge.Whoever had won the most races wins.Right before we left there was a horibble crash!People had cuts and crazes.But the guy who created the crash broke his arm!On tusday we went toa  3D art musum.A 3D art musum is when you take a photo and it comes out 3D.All the other days we just look around rotarua.

How do make an animation!

W.A.L.T make an animation to get the word around to make a good blog comment.
I enjoy doing this because you could do anything you wanted to do.It was a bit challenging at first but once I got the hang of it.It was one of the funnest things I every did.

If you could make an animation what would it be?

In class we had to write a news paper report about little red robin hood.We got a piece of and we had to draft a a newspaper report.We had to keep this things in mind..... the headline which means not giving to much away..... next is the leadline which means the first paragraph and the first paragraph need the W5H.They are who,what,when,where,why and how.....   next is the body of the newspaper which is talking to an eyewitness and putting in exactly what they said....

the last one is the byeline which is the name of the writter.

Ice skating!

Last week our school went to the te ahua to go ice skating so we could get an experience  of what a real ice skating is.Here is some photos. 

We all had so much fun.There was a bubble machine.It was one of the funnest  thing ever.

Sandra Silberzweig is an amazing artist.
This is one of her painting's

She was self taught in arts and was born and raised in Toronto Canada.She has to adult sons and she has a disability called Synetheia.We decided to make one ourselves.We had to have warm and cold  colours and complementary colours.We looked at her painting's and most of her are faces.We also had to look at her patterns and put them on our painting's.We used Indian ink for the black out line.Then we used soft pastel to colour in.

My frist maths post from this year!

This term we were asked to do a maths based post.My one is going to be based on my maths goal.Earlier this term we decided what our maths goal was going to be.I decided mine was going to be real life.

I wanted this one because I want to learn more maths based on real life so if I need run into something that I need maths I would know what to do.I think I am making big improvements on it.I am thinking of maybe changing soon.

The thing I remebered most about this term!

The thing I remembered about this term was when we learned about Kate Sheppard.We had to get 5 facts about her life.Here are my 5 facts. 

1 Kate Sheppard is on the NZ 10 dollar note. 2 She was born in Liverpool 1847 and died in 1934. 3 In 1885 she joined the WCTU. 4 She argued in parliament for women's rights. 5 She became president of the national council of woman of NZ.

That is my 5 facts.I remembered this because it was fun to research about her and learn about NZ history.

What would you research if you had to research about NZ history?

Learning about matariki and making ukalica palm

Today we went to piwakawaka with kiwi because we were going to make a ukalica palm and learn about matariki.Whaea Ali and three collage kids came to help us.They showed us how do make the 9 matariki stars.

They also taught us how to sing No te hohonutanga.They showed us how to make ukalica palm.We used beez waxs,lavender and coconut oil.

Life in Antarctica!

WALT learn about the world and see what has been done to the world.

This week we were learn about Antarctica ans how things work there and how people and animals live there.We had to read a book about Antarctica then answer some questions.One fact about Antarctica is that the wind can go up to 100 mph.Other fact is that the tempter is -60 Fahrenheit.One more is that Antarctica is the fifth Continent.You would think that people would not be born there but 10 people have been born there.

The war for crete

WALT learn about NZ history

We were learning about NZ history this week and this week I chose the battle for Crete!The battle for Crete lasted for 12 days!Its started in the 20 of may 1941.2000 NZ soldiers were imprison and 671 NZ soldiers were killed!The Germans came in  planes for a surprise attack because they came wile our team were having breakfast!The people on the ground grabbed their guns and started firing at the parachutes.Hundreds of parachutes died before they even hit the ground!Soon the locals joined in and grabbed anything and started shot and hit the parachutes that landed by their house.After 12 days of hard fighting the Germans retreated and our team had won!

My WW1 letter to my family.

This year we were learning to step in to the WW1 soldiers in Gollipoli.We all thought what was happening at the time and how they felt.Here its is:

Dear family

I am in one of the dirtiest and smelliest trenches.I have been shot in the leg.One of my mates are lying dead beside me.I am the saddest I have been in years.Everything here is so loud.I don't think I will make it back home.Bombs are getting closer to the trench by the minute.The enemy  is getting closer.I think this is the worst part of the war.Right now it looks like we are losing.Hope you are safe and I come back alive
